Hovering

I'd made a mug full of nuts and fat for the birds and hung it in the garden after Christmas, and noticed that the blackbirds have been trying to get their beaks into it. Originally I'd put in a stick for birds to perch on but I don't suppose it was long enough and that's now gone. I saw the blackbirds at it again today and tried to capture them in mid-flight, but there wasn't much light today so I couldn't get a very fast shutter speed. You get the idea though! Shame the fence and tree trunk are a bit green - they both need a wash but it's never been the right time.

I'd gone out for a walk this morning and seen a beautiful sunrise which was going to be my blip for today, but it's been relegated to an extra. I have got a lot of sunrises in my journal but not many birds in flight!
