Cllr Enid Bald

I was shocked to hear this afternoon that a longstanding Parish Councillor of more than 20 years, Enid Bald, had died a couple of weeks ago.  I didn't know her well, but she was a well known local figure, had a smile for everyone and was absolutely committed to doing the best for our village.

I happened to take a photo this morning of one of the disputed development sites that she and other members of the Linton PC planning committee have been very rigorous at trying to oppose.  My understanding is that despite still not having the correct consent the developers continue to build.  It was certainly very busy there this morning.

RIP Enid Bald - bravo for your many years of public service and commitment and love for our village - you will be very much missed.
