In the enchanted woods

Sarcoscypha austriaca - better known as Scarlet Elf Cup or Fairies' Bath, the names originating from the belief that wood elves and fairies drink and bathe in them. They are widespread but uncommon in Britain and tend to do best in winters when it is both damp and mild. Looks like it might be a good year for them.
