More Tales from the House
The Gardener for the house was feeling rather pleased with himself. He had recently acquired a new greenhouse and even this late in the season had managed a good crop of flowers for the house ... the Lady of the house will be very pleased. It was also proving a good place for storing the last of the melons (grown in a coldframe in the especially prepared compost made of horse manure ... though he had heard that donkey manure was better!) and pumpkins.
Another in my occasional series of images from the Doll's House collection. This one is 1/12th scale and was recently inherited from my late Mum. I had debated whether or not to take it, along with a 1/24th one ... I already have a formidable collection of buildings (and accessories) in various scales and space to display them is rapidly running out. However, in the end I just couldn't see them go to the dump.
(p.s. the fact about donkey manure came from advice for growing melons on an UK organic allotment!)
