Oh what a gorgeous day today.  After scraping the ice off the car we went to Elterwater, a bit further away, but its in my favourite area, The Langdales.  Didn't get there until late morning but didn't think it would be a problem as it is winter!  Wrong ... the carpark was completely full and the off road parking spaces too.  Drove around for a few minutes trying to find somewhere to park and thinking of a Plan B when I eventually spotted somewhere to park.

Had a really great walk to Skelwith Bridge and then up a steep minor road to Loughrigg Tarn.  There were some wonderful reflections in both Elterwater and Loughrigg Tarn so I was in my element.  The main blip is Elterwater with The Langdales in the distance ... more in extras.  The first extra which I nearly blipped is Loughrigg Tarn.
