Ice, Sand, Repeat

What a messy weekend this has been! Started with a storm that really wasn’t a “storm”, then it rained/sleeted only to have BJ go back to work Saturday to sand the icy parking lot. Wake up Sunday morning and it started all over again, rain, sleet, freezing rain. I accompanied him once again in the work truck while he stopped to load up with sand and make multiple passes through the campus to ensure everyone was safe for shift change. Admittedly, it was incredibly slick, even in a 3/4 ton HD work truck with a plow and a full sander we were sliding.

This winter is turning out similarly to last year. Not much for snow, but plenty of ice. It’s supposed to turn COLD this week. Typical for our two week cold snap. Ugh. I hate winter!
