Florid

Our road trip today took us through the New England town of Glen Innes. Its town hall was built in the 1880s, in a style described as ‘high Victorian’, ‘French Renaissance’ and ‘Italianate’. One writer calls it ‘florid late Victorian’, which gets it about right I think. The photo is taken in iPhone panorama mode.
