I want to be in America

Comes to something when a trip to the cinema is such an event but we went to see West Side Story in the actual movie house.   Took Mum which made it quite an operation as we were told that we needed a covid pass (we didn’t) so we had to put all of that into operation.  

The film is astonishing although not all the casting works however one of the most touching elements is a pivotal role given to Rita Moreno who at 90 is luminous and vivid.   Her character steals the song Somewhere from the lovers final meeting and the film makes that work so well.
