Day 9 - impression
Hi, a little experiment today. Pastels and colouring pencils to do a dying bunch of garden flowers. Bit of a challenge so photo taken on a distance for the better effect, I hope. Also experimented with my first ever green tomato chutney, which is bubbling away on the stove, smells good, looks, well as green tomato would I suppose, has a good chilly bite as I was generous with the chilly powder, oops.
I further my experiments with more sugarless bread. Getting it quite right now. I have done about 5 breads, they take about 24 hours between throwing the ingredients together, no-knead, waiting for yeast to do its thing, fold over twice after 18 hours, dust flour and make quick ball out of dough then rest for another 2-3 hours, and it bakes in just 30 minutes. This is all in preparation for the zero sugar challenge later in the year.
What else was Saturday about? Washing, dishes, folding, reading, drawing, played a game with my youngest, sent 2 boys to the market, ate a bunch of grapes, made a mess on the kitchen bench, and tonight we have an extra hour to sleep as Day Light Savings is ending. Or we catch up with the hour of missed sleep from September?
Have a great weekend!
