Even if no more than around 10-15 cm, the overnight wet heavy snow was a real test. Initially it was very difficult to get going until at least some had been moved away. Despite the chains, the weight of the snow is so enormous if using the plough at an angle, that the whole tractor just gets pushed sideways. One has to clear some lines with the plough set straight ahead, and thus they have to be short stretches.

So took a lot longer today and I even did bits I had never done before, including the horse's large concreted outdoor area. In comparison, I could not have done anything with the blower and would have killed myself trying with the small plough I made to fit on the blower.
