At about 10:30 lovely boss suggested I call Jade to find out whether or not all hoops had been jumped through, or if she was about to turn up with more. I thought that wasn't such a bad idea given that 
a- she's difficult to contact and 
b- she might be sulking and have put me at the bottom of her pile.
So I called and after not too very much waiting on hold music I was connected to her colleague Dennis. Yes Jade was on another call, was there anything he could help with? So I asked him whether or not all my boxes had been ticked and he told me that yes, they had been. No Jade had not confirmed that with my letting agent would I like him to do that for me right away?
Yes please, I would like that very much indeed. And so he did.
A little while later I received about 58 pages of tenancy documents to sign electronically. It's OK, you don't need to read any of it, the system just jumps you to the signature section on each page and you press yes and it gets signed.
Once the landlord has done the same I will be sent a fully signed copy to print and keep for my records.
And that meant that when I arrived home from work I was able to pay the balance of the deposit to the letting agent and was told that my body-double would be able to collect the keys to the flat after 4pm on Friday.
And then I confirmed my new address to the removals company who will be taking all my stuff there on Saturday.
Panic over!
