Orion’s belt

Orion’s belt always makes me think of the film Men in Black.

Today was a strange day. Half way through presenting in a meeting early this morning my broadband cut out - and it still isn’t back almost 12 hours later. My neighbourhood is full of cross virgin media customers - we all have just got a letter to say our bills will be increasing by £4.25 a month. Not great timing.

Lovely local social enterprise Tap Social offered everyone use of their Wi-Fi. Juno and I headed over there and enjoyed some coffee and biscuits while looking at an accumulation of work emails. Meanwhile the community Facebook group was full if cross people looking at other options to virgin. The problem is that no other supplier is more reliable enough or cheaper enough to make switching really worthwhile.

I was back at Tap Social this evening for dinner with lovely Claire and Marcus who were lots of fun as ever. The food was wonderful. Their new chef is a star.. and talking of stars, Claire had received a telescope for Christmas and we admired the stars on this cold night before I pedalled my way home.
