Scattered
I don’t think the sun gets very high during the day at the moment, and by the time I get out in mid afternoon the shadow of Moorside is already eating into the pastures below.
The sheep were well scattered today, as were the jackdaws and gulls which had settled on the boggy grass in numbers.
I bumped into a Bullfinch gathering seed heads, and a noisy flock of Goldfinch plotting to do the same.
