A rude awakening

A 5.8 magnitude earthquake woke us at 11:49 pm. It was a good shake. We aren’t use to earthquakes as we live in a part of the country that doesn’t get them. Sometimes we feel just a ripple from a big one that shakes a large area, so we were a bit alarmed especially as our phone alerts went off to tell us there had been an earthquake! We didn’t need to be told, we felt it.
We started the day with a bike ride through the local vineyards. Today is my husbands birthday so we had dinner out tonight.
