House Viewing

As I left the house for a walk this morning, there was a fresh smell and a feeling of promise in the air which hasn't been around for the last few weeks. Went down into the pine plantation by the river and followed the forestry track.

This pair of blue tits were investigating holes and crevices in the rocks, looking for a nesting site and I even managed to get a shot of the willow tits, which can normally be heard at the top of the pine trees, but seldom come down low enough - or stay long enough - to get a decent picture.

On the bank in the car park, wood anemones were just beginning to open as I left, so I may well be back again tomorrow morning to see if I can get some pictures of them.
