Poor lawn

We bought some grass seed . Underneath the bird feeders the birds wait for bits to fall and they peck. Not only is there  no grass but there are holes. Foloh at first considered stopping feeding the birds there, but he enjoys seeing them too, so we just replenish the  grass every spring.
