Hopping Around Hare Hill

Up and over,
following the path,
Past the sheep with their woolly coats,
Left, over the bridge and up the hill,
Cairns to the right, cairns to the left,
Behold the Edinburgh vista,
A fruitless hunt for the German plane memorial,
A bit of grousebeating, listening to their cackle and flustered flight,
Back down through the valley,
Towards the rump of Black Hill,
Skirting Scald Law then the Kips,
Greeting Green Cleuch and the path home,
Another day in the Pentlands.
