Calm oasis in the city

Felt the need for a little tranquility so headed out on this frosty morning to the Botanical Gardens. To reach it there's a busy road with a take-your chance-quick 4-way junction. Not pleasant on a bicycle. 
A large part of the pond was frozen and frost still covered the ground in the shade. 
At one point a robin was heartily singing in the beech hedge #1 extra.
I spent a pleasant couple of hours walking round.
Before leaving I bought an air plant from the shop to keep my other one company. 
Home for lunch. Walked hound in rapidly dropping temperature of the afternoon.  I think we'll have another frost.
Enjoying another cup of Honduran coffee and reading until time to prep dinner.
Have a warm, safe evening.
