Vet Cancelled & Closed
This is Dori Pickles' brand new cat carrier. It is lightly insulated and probably warmer and sturdier than our old ones.
She was supposed to go to the Vet for her first exam with injections visit today and to register with that practice. The Vet herself called me last night to say they had cancel Dori's appointment and they had to close for a few days because one of the staff has tested positive. Apparently only 3 of her employees have been vaccinated. The others refuse. The practice cannot work with such a limited number. So, everyone has to stay home until the employee tests negative. Terrible for the Vet's business, No emergency visits either. I will be taking Dori in her carrier to a Saturday Vet practice at Tractor Supply farm store. I may not return to that Vet until her employees are vaccinated, for MY protection.
I would dock their pay until they got it done, unless they had a medical reason. Small businesses are at the mercy of people who refuse the injections. The new law says businesses with over 100 employees have to have them vaccinated; not small Veterinary Hospitals
I feel it is very selfish of the employees not be protected.
End of rant
