The sun is hiding

And I think someone else is hiding.

The news today told us that Boris had to cancel his planned trip 'oooop north' because someone in his family had tested positive to Covid 19.  The Govt latest guidelines (for England) clearly say that if you have been fully vaccinated you no longer have to self-isolate if you have had contact with someone who has tested positive. You just have to take a daily lateral flow test and get a negative result and then you can go about your daily life. So it seems that not only does he have one rule for himself and different rules for the rest of us, but also he CHOOSES to follow a guideline that is no longer in existence - so he must be trying to hide.

Yet it seems that he went to the tea-rooms yesterday after his 'apology' (his dictionary must carry different definitions to standard dictionaries) and spoke to colleagues, indicating that he didn't think he had done anything wrong but was carrying the can for others who HAD.  So if he's not done anything wrong, why is he hiding?

I read a newish book called 'Sad Little Men', which describes the way public schools, particularly boarding schools, turn out people who were deeply traumatised by having to leave their mothers when they were too young - usually 6 or 7, and then spend years trying to overcome that strong feeling of rejection.  They usually have to lie to themselves to convince themselves that they were not rejected and unloved.  They often develop into people with no empathy for others, and who have learned how to lie and deceive in order to survive, so that in the end they believe their own lies. And have no conscience because their goals are all about self preservation.  I'm surprised now at how many other MPs are openly calling Boris a liar.

He has to go.  But unfortunately  almost all of his Cabinet had a public school education, and so did 50% of all MPs in Parliament.  So when Boris goes we'll get another PM with similar issues - but hopefully one who does not lie so blatantly and ridiculously.

I'd like to know if all those who went to the May 20th party will also be fined or asked to resign. Someone must know who they are.
