Not at work

A new set of contractors from OpenReach via MorrissonsTC arrive today. Rab and daughter bury conduit for FTTP along half our track. They install a connection box for the house.

Tomorrow they’ll finish the run to the warehouse, with a connection box for the barn and office. At some later date the Morrisons crew will return to pull in the fibre and connect it to the network. One day, someone might even sign up for a fibre service.

It was only when coming back from West Linton that I realised that they had erected statutory H&S road signs on the track. Workers in road. Road narrows. Superfluous and amusing.

Later, a chilly committee meeting at Netherurd Memorial Hall. More work for me.
