FLOWER FRIDAY AND FUN FRIDAY

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We knew that there was something “in the air” when Mrs. HCB told Mr. HCB at 9 o’clock last night that she she was just “Popping down to Morrisons” and then came back with two bunches of tulips - she did have other things, of course, what woman goes shopping for just two things and comes back with only two?  

Then we remembered that today would have been dear Admirer’s birthday so instead of celebrating tomorrow, a day late, on Silly Saturday, Mrs. HCB thought it would be a good idea to combine this with Flower Friday and have a Fun Friday as well.  So don’t be worried and think you have missed a day!

Of course, we remember Admirer fondly, and what better day to do that but on her birthday, and no doubt, knowing her, she is organising a big party in heaven and I’m sure that all the other dear departed Blippers will be joining in.

It is strange that not all that many Blippers meet, although we do know that lots of Blipmeets go on all over the world, but because we are friends of the HCBs, we know that when a Blip friend is ill or dies, many of their Blip friends feel sad, because even online friendships are special.  We know how much we all miss Hoggy when he hibernates, but we know that we will see him again when the Spring comes, which makes missing him easier to bear.  

So today, on this special day, when I’m sure that Admirer’s family, her husband, Piet Hein, daughter, Mischa, son-in-law, Dolf, and their new baby, will be missing her and thinking of her, we wanted to think of her too.  The tulips are specially for Admirer and we’re sure that you all remember the song, “Tulips from Amsterdam” so these seemed appropriate for today and of course, for two months every year, Admirer lived in The Netherlands.

The Silly Saturday Gang joins in and we send our love to you all;  remember to tell those close to you that you love them - and not just on their birthday!  And, above all, remember to have fun - Admirer would encourage you to do that.

P.S.  The beautiful cushions were from one of Mrs. HCB's Blip friends from Pakistan - sadly she no longer blips, but their friendship has lasted over the years.
