following Monty's advice

Is it me or was blipfoto unreachable to everyone yesterday?
Anywhich, I watched Monty Don gardening and he said that onions sets needed starting now, even if the soil was too cold and wet, but they could be set off in compost in plugs, so here's mine.
I have got more than that but this is the tidiest corner. I never buy onion sets but I keep being given them. The first year, they came out in September, no bigger than they went in. They've done better since then, so hopefully these will be worth the space - especially since I found out that I have to remember to water them.
