Avebury
This was taken in the north-east section of the Avebury stone circle, looking south towards Herepath. It was noticeable at Stonehenge how everyone was led around on a path, fenced off some way from the stones, whereas here one can walk up and touch the stones, even clamber up to the top of them if one wishes, and are free for everyone to enjoy (although the car parking is pretty much stitched up).
Despite walking about for an hour or so under clear open skies, the new GPS unit still failed to pick up a signal, increasing my suspicions that it was defective.
