Post-Christmas-Covid-Chaos...
The timing of our covid adventure has been rather unfortunate.
My symptoms started on 1st January, David's on 3rd so we were quarantining upstairs when we would usually be taking down the Christmas decs and giving the place an early spring clean. As a result, this is happening almost two weeks later than usual!
All the Christmas decs from the kitchen are on the kitchen table, all the decs from the garden room on the dining room table (the tree in the garden room and the one in the hall are still up!) the decs from the hall have been packed but the bags are still in the hall, Alan's decs are boxed and sitting in the back hallway waiting to go in the loft, and the living room decs are all bundled together (as per blip) some packed, some waiting to be packed, and of course the very sad Christmas tree.
David had managed to take the decs off it before quarantining and today the 3 sets of lights came off. I am amazed there are any needles left on the branches as the poor thing hasn't been watered in almost two weeks!
This really has been the most bizarre start to a new year. Normally January feels like the slowest month of the year but I find myself, in the blink of an eye, almost at the middle.
In another couple of weeks it will start being daylight at 4pm. Woo hoo! :-)
