More Structures at Dawn

This morning I woke to see two barges bearing structures in the dawn light (other in 'extras').

Today, I have done a bit of Googling to explain some of the goings-on in the Forth that I see from my windows.

The presence of giant floating cranes, and barges carrying structures, is now explained.

A huge marine windfarm is being constructed in the North Sea just east of the Firth of Forth and when completed, it will be the largest in the UK. I was therefore correct in my assumption that they were the bases for wind turbines.
