Devizes (Friday 14th January 2022)

I made it over to Devizes to do my weekly shop and parked by the Crammer pond, and had a walk along the churchyard that acts as its shore. I didn't have time before dark to make it over to the Caen Hill lock flight.

This song first appeared on King Crimson's first album in 1969, but an earlier 1968 home recording by McDonald, Giles and Fripp and sung by Judy Dyble, which I prefer, later appeared, and in 1992 became a hit for Opus III. The pure vocal on this version surely echoes that of Judy Dyble.
