Statue of Hans Memling

The statue of the famous painter Hans Memling stands in my neighbourhood .. Born 1430 in Seligenstadt (Germany) .He came to live in Bruges around 1451 .His paintings are known as Flemish Primitive and  are valued  world wide . Many of his paintings are shown here  in the Groeninge Musea at Bruges . He past away in 1494
