Pampas

Pampas always looks exotic to me when it comes to life each winter. It lives along our front hedge.

I was due at Addenbrookes Hospital for a check up at midday today. At 9.00am I got a phone call postponing it until next week.as a member of the team had tested positive this morning. Ah well, it's only 18 months late anyway. What's another week.

So instead we drove to Morrisons through a light fog. Not very pleasant. I needed bird food more than anything for us. Our feathered visitors are very hungry and seem to have specific times...mid morning and afternoon to eat. The little birds fly in and out. Bigger visitors include pheasants, magpies and one woodpecker.

This afternoon we watched the Kenneth Branagh film "Belfast". It is autobiographical and an excellent film. The lovely guy from The Tourist, Jamie Dornan plays one of lead characters. Judy Dench looks and sounds almost unrecognizable as granny. But the star of the film is an 11 year old boy, Jude Hill, playing the son.
