"Less snow, more ice expected from Sunday winter storm in D.C. area"


Today was very cold. Samuel enjoyed it so much that we went for the longest walk we've gone on in quite a while and then we RAN. We haven't run together for eons. 


Then we had a delightful online conversation with Karen's Canadian family. Her cousin is terrific, we went to Machu Piccu together in the Before Times. Her cousin's mom is an amazing woman. She has survived a lot. She is brilliant and loving. She tricked her way out of Chile when it was a dictatorship, rescuing herself and her children, and remade her life in Canada. At one point she was moving and the U-Haul trailer tilted up on the front wheels. The guys were standing there gaping and she told them to give her an air-conditioned room, a pad of paper, and a pencil and she'd figure it out. She did. 


It was much colder in Canada today. 


Stay warm, but not Australia warm. That's too warm.
