Photo finish in Halifax

I usually have a little flutter on Grand National Day and this year was no exception. I had my eye on three horses, and one of them "Rare Bob" scooped me a cool £11

Before the big race I had to pop into town where I came across Wilson and Storm who are part of the 18 horse strong West Yorkshire Police Mounted Section.

Both horses (and their riders) looked as though they were enjoying the spring sunshine. They looked totally oblivious to the chase that was about to start on the other side of the Pennines.

We had jam and scones in m&s cafe. Today's jam was not a patch on what I tasted yesterday!
