Solitary Swan

The lake at Trentham was completely frozen, apart from a few scattered pockets around the edges. This is where most of the water birds were restricted to, apart from this single black swan. 

The monument is now accessible as they've moved the sheep to new pastures. So I had a quick walk to the top. It was great not to see a single person for a while. It does get rather busy in the gardens.
