Camellia #3

I cut this flower yesterday since we were supposed to get possible icy rain and I wanted to enjoy it longer. The bush has about 40 buds but they are opening one at a time. Don’t know why that is happening another camellia bushes are full of blooms. Need to research.

The freezing rain never made it to here but the monsoon rain did. Along with roaring wind. We lost power for 2 hours. However, the areas about 20 miles away got the icy rain and not too much further, about 2 hours away as you start getting into the lower mountain area, got several inches of snow. It hovered around freezing most of the day but now at 4pm the sun was trying to show its face. Still really cold for our area.

Probably all this water standing will freeze tonight. Glad I don’t have to go anywhere tomorrow.

But I sure would love to take some snow photos! Who knows what will happen.
