Budding Leucojum vernum

We had a lovely day at the allotment. After fixing the lock of our door, that wouldn't open, we started the spring clean in those corners of the allotment where the snow is gone. At least two thirds of the allotment is still under snow.

We heard the first robin and chaffinch singing. The greenfinches and goldfinches were singing a lot. And our wood pigeons were back from their winter quarters. Wohoo!

Three types of snowdrops were flowering, and Leucojum vernum in bud.
