Schooner at Stonehaven
The sun was shining this morning so it seemed like a good day to head to the beach. A different beach today, not Aberdeen, but Stonehaven.
A leisurely stop at the Pier Cafe for a very nice pastry and cappuccino preceded a walk to Cowie. There were quite a lot of people at the harbour end of the town, but far fewer at the northern end of the beach. The sea was very calm, and it was high tide. We did not see the seal we encountered the last time we were in Cowie.
The picture shows the latest addition to the metal sculptures installed along the boardwalk. This one has a small sign, which I should have read or photographed at the time.
The weather was sunny most of the time we were in Stonehaven, though it was quite cool. As we were leaving it was starting to cloud over, and the weather remained cloudy for the rest of the day.
