Postcard

Another postcard from St. Thomas hospital.
I was feeling as sick as the proverbial parrot and, after several chats, the cancer 24/7 support service advised me to go to A&E. Our wonderful brother-in-law drove us up. Mrs S could only stay with me for a short while due to covid restrictions.
The service was very good. The army were in evidence, being helpful. After a while I was put in a very pleasant cubical, then an even better en suite room. Pumped full of who knows what, I felt a bit better.
Of course, once in the system, I was on hospital time. At midnight a nurse popped in to say I was off for a CT scan. Then at 2:30am I was transferred to a ward... with this familiar view.
