Post-orchestra down time
Just because she can, Miss C is spending the week at a symphony orchestra youth camp playing her cello with other music friends.
It is a fairly new orchestra, barely a year old, so I think the numbers (and the pressure to be a musical genius) is relatively low.
After a few weeks/ months of tension, she can finally relax. ( and so can we)
Her excellent school exam results gained her a place in Melbourne Uni studying Biomed. The competition to get a place on the course was reflected in the high score requirement, but nothing was guaranteed until that offer arrived late last week.
So she can breath again, without the undermining uncertainty that has sat on her shoulders for some time.
Needless to say, I am so proud of her and her journey thus far. - and always, there is a tinge of sadness that her Dad was not alive to give her the hug she deserves.
