Packhorse Bridge

It has been a splendid day today with wall-to-wall sunshine. In fact it didn't begin to get dark until 4.30 pm which is a real bonus. I thought there should be some good reflections in the river and decided on this view of the packhorse bridge. The bridge is grade II listed and was built in C17 or early C18. It probably replaced an earlier bridge.

I even managed to work for 30 minutes in the garden cutting off the old hellebore leaves so that the light could get to the buds which are starting to emerge.
