The auld hoose in Auldhouse

This house is believed to be the second third oldest house in Glasgow and is B listed. It's situated in the Auldhouse area on the southside of the city. There is an inscription dated 1631 on a lintel in one of the rooms. It was owned by the Maxwells of Pollok, has been a children's home and is now spilt into two houses.
The oldest house is either Provand's Lordship on the High St. or Provan Hall in Easterhouse. That's for another day.

On the 31 December I posted a blip about the best decorated street and how the residents were raising money for Cancer Research. Well, I got a reply yesterday from Pencefn letting me know how much they raised
"We raised over £23,000 for this. My blip account has a few pictures from our street, including a visit by STV at the beginning of December."
What a wonderful achievement!
