Monday: Blue Sky & Early Flowers
We were up early, a fine dry day - washing out by late morning then I spent a couple of hours in the garden.
MrD on deliveries all day but finished before dark.
Today’s job was to continue with pruning back the wild hawthorn in the front garden. All the little birds love it because they can hide in it when the birds of prey are around, I think there are lots of insects living in the hawthorn too because all the little birds are pecking at the leaves and branches, mustn’t forget the flowers for the pollinators and the berries for the blackbirds!
Had a relaxing afternoon after all the fresh air and I hope to sleep well, in spite of the full moon!!
Tonight’s Full Moon is the “Wolf Moon” temperature around zero degrees centigrade and a beautiful clear sky - https://www.almanac.com/content/full-moon-january
Today’s Blip is of Snowdrops, first Hellebores, first Primrose (think something has nibbled it!) and the Pear Tree which needs serious pruning! And BLUE SKY ….!
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
