On Swift's Hill, Stroud
GG and I went for a Sunday walk up Swift's Hill, near Stroud. It's a designated nature reserve over looking Slad, Laurie Lee's village. We climbed the steep hill and then took a circular route along the ridge and back along a lower parallel track. Unfortunately the long distance views were somewhat misted over.
When we got back to the house, we had lunch, and then watched a DVD, the beautifully crafted 1930s-style Miss Pettigrew lives for a Day, starring Frances Mc Dormand earlier in her career. It's an escapist gem that I watch every couple of years.
I seem to have lost the art of writing. Normal service will resume soon, I hope.
