Behind the House

Behind the house, through the shrubbery, on the hill above our creek. Six deer making their way through the snow. It's the kind of snow that's hard to walk through because your hoof seems to initially be supported by the icy crust, and then POP it goes through and you're in snow six inches deep. Awkward.

It was hard to get a clear(ish) shot of the deer rather than the twigs in front of her. Impossible to get a shot of the whole moving group.

Later in the afternoon I saw three of them running alongside the creek and then up the hill. Easier to run than to walk??
