I’m up in Auckland.
Today was the first part of our farewell to our wonderful friend.
There was a service held this morning. A very large gathering showing how many people Clay had touched in his life.
Emotional speeches from many, and some laughs.
He really was one of the good guys in this world, something that was said many times over.

I can’t actually believe that he has gone.

Tomorrow he will begin his journey to his final resting place in his home town. He will be lying at his local Marae until Thursday, when the last stages of his farewell will be held.

A lot of people who were there today, including me, will travel down to Maketu to be a part of that.
