Midshipman’s Chest
There is a saying in the Navy; “Like a Midshipman’s Chest, everything on top and nothing to hand”, it’s used to describe a space where everything is put in haphazardly and nothing is handy.
So it is with the rugby club storage container where the “out of sight - out of mind” principle is in operation. The knock on effect is that the volunteers, instead of getting on with maintenance and improvements spend their one day a week cleaning up behind others.
Elsewhere Mrs S along with Paddy and I have been enjoying the winter sunshine on our walks, so much more enjoyable than trudging along in the rain and cold.
Excitement is building at the imminent arrival of the third and final series of the Ricky Gervais series ‘After Life’. The first two were amongst the best entertainment I have ever seen
