‘A Wise Old Owl’

I’ve known this wise old owl - just 21/2 inches high - for as long as I can remember. Not sure how we came by him, and showing its age a bit now, he’s one of a pair (the other one has lost its beak!) and been a feature in every house I’ve lived in. 

As a child I knew the nursery rhyme about a wise old owl. My hope is indeed that we may all be more like him!

A wise old owl lived in an oak
The more he saw the less he spoke
The less he spoke the more he heard.
Why can’t we all be like that wise old bird?
