Chocolate cake

This is probably not the first - not will it be the last - picture of cake in the journal.  It’s a delicious chocolate cake that our friend Mel dropped off because she’d heard our Christmas visit was cut short. It was a lovely gesture - and it’s an equally lovely cake - and I wanted to mark the moment.

Surprisingly, I couldn't find a post called cake that I have made.  There only appear to have been three: Sweet and savory (in December 2020); Pandolce in January 2021 and Afternoon tea - featuring a cake - in April last year.
