RIP Clay Fainga Polamalu

In the small hours of the morning I watched the live link of the funeral service for Clay in New Zealand.  

I was very moved by the service, the emotion, the speeches and the love.  After an hour or so at 2am I went to bed and have just finished watching the remaining hour this evening.  I was especially moved all over again, and impressed beyond measure, to watch his wife, my friend Carolyn, and both her children make the most amazing speeches about him.  

He will now be taken to his family home town of Maketu, Clay's turangawaewae (3 hours away) where there will be another ceremony and he will be buried.
