And then there were eight...
The photo I have chosen from today's Camera Club outing to London is instantly recognisable as the Shard.
First time I have been to London for about 12 years so I've never seen this before apart from on TV.
We visited Covent Garden first and from there made our way to Leicester Square then The Embankment, taking in the Shard, The Tate, HMS Belfast, Millennium Bridge, Tower Bridge, St. Paul's Cathedral, The Houses of Parliament, The London Eye and The Tower of London on the way.
All the time we managed to stay in our group of nine pausing now and then to allow the stragglers so catch up. That is until the very last leg of our journey when two of the group became separated and we lost sight of them.
We eventually made our way to Euston and boarded our train wondering what had become of the other two, when suddenly the carriage door opened (cue round of applause from us) and in walked one of them!
The other one had missed the train by about 2 seconds.
We heard later that he'd managed to get another train home... but just hope he didn't have to fork out for another ticket!
Incidentally today is consecutive blip number 600 so glad I was able to celebrate it with a special day out.
