Dawn over the School Field

One of the best things about this freezing, calm winter weather is the break of day. As today. And it's just gone 8 a.m. Amazing to think I used to get up at 4 am to get shots like this.

The colours of dawn are wonderful. I didn't see the ice clouds that others did this morning. Instead, I sat in bed, drinking my tea, watching through the window how the colours and light transformed into daylight.

Baz and I just made it to St Botolph's for coffee morning. Wendy and Jean were already packing up. Jean made me a very welcome cuppa and they sat with me until I finished it.
