Baby "Gander" on the Way!

Goose and Gander---our son Martin and wife Staci who occasionally blip as Goose and Gander- are expecting their first child in August and found out yesterday that it is a boy! This will be our first grandchild and we are just thrilled! We just want a healthy baby for them...either sex would be welcomed into our families we know.

Here's a few precious items that Martin wore as a little one. We never felt blue or pink should make you a boy or girl so one dear friend gave him a pink bonnet---it became his most worn one we called his "traveling hat". Another good friend gave his this great blue "future feminist " tee shirt. And Martin is , indeed a feminist and proud to be one. The cowboy boots were so special as a mom of my very dear friend brought them to the hospital when she visited. She was like a another grandmother to him. Even our Cowboy has trouble not wanted to gallop off in them!

We wish for our future grandchild one filled with more gender equity in his world. One where every individual will be seen as special in their very own way...where tolerance and acceptance of all peoples becomes closer to reality. No matter what preferences and choice s you make dear little gander....we will love and cherish you....and accept you for who you are. Thank you Goose and Gander for making us both so utterly joyful!
